    Maintenance and Engineering Manager

    Responsible for site wide building and manufacturing equipment maintenance and capital projects. Includes oversight for design, vendor selection, purchasing, installation, contract labor management and cost control. Managerial responsibilities for all employees in Maintenance and Engineering, including, safety, quality, scheduling and performance management.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1.                   Responsible for the oversite and supervision of Maintenance, Electrical and Instrumentation departments.

    2.                   Responsible for project management to include design oversight, vendor selection purchasing, installation, contract labor management and project cost control.

    3.                   Responsible to identify, track and report department performance and efficiency.

    4.                   Investigate performance errors and initiate corrective action.

    5.                   Responsible to ensure safe work practices, including the maintenance of a clean and safe work place.

    6.                   Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

    7.                   Responsible for ensuring quality products and leading continuous improvement efforts.

    8.                   Responsible to ensure all employees receive necessary quality, safety and production training and education.

    9.                   Identify and communicate corrective actions for spill and accident prevention.

    10.               Develop goals and objectives for department employees.

    11.               Administer subordinates performance appraisals, professional appraisals, professional development, and compensation.

    12.               Responsible to administer departmental compensation and expense budgets.

    13.               Performs other duties as assigned.



    BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.



    5-10 years related experience and training.

    Knowledgeable in Leadership and Managerial principles.


    R&D Chemist            


    Develop new fiber lubricants, surface modification chemistries, and polymer additives.  Interface with customers globally.  Some domestic and international travel will be required.


    1.      Develop and test finishes to confirm performance to product specifications. Document as required.

    2.      Supports the company's interaction with customers as finish requirements are determined.

    3.      Create reports for internal and external customers.

    4.      Attend customer evaluations in a supporting role for the team.

    5.      Performs other duties as assigned.


    Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry; Master’s degree preferred.
