    The Union County Human Resources Association (UCHRA) uses its best efforts to protect the privacy of visitors to this website.

    Types of Information Collected and How It Is Used

    Individuals are required to complete an application for new and/or renewal memberships. This application gathers personally identifiable information including personal and professional contact information, such as first and last names, home and work addresses, email addresses and phone numbers.

    By submitting the membership application, you grant UCHRA and the National SHRM organization permission to use your personal information to periodically communicate with you for things such as newsletters, notices and meeting reminders.

    What this Privacy Policy Covers

    This policy covers how UCHRA treats personal and non-personal information collected and received through its website. Non-personal information includes “cookies.” This policy does not govern the practices of companies that UCHRA does not own or control or people/volunteers that UCHRA does not employ or manage.

    Access to Member Information

    Personally identifiable information that you provide to UCHRA is maintained solely by select UCHRA Board Members and Committee Chairs. 

    The UCHRA website does have a Member Directory where members information can be viewed by other UCHRA members.  There is an option to remove a member's listing from the directory.  Each member has the choice of having their information viewed or hidden.

    UCHRA will not distribute or sell any of your information to third parties. However, your name and email address are available to paid members on the UCHRA website. We do release personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with law; or protect the rights, property, or safety of UCHRA, our users, or others.

    Personal Information

    It is UCHRA’s intention to give you as much control as possible over your personal information. In general, you can visit the UCHRA web site without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. However, there are places on our web site when we may need information from you, such as your name, email address, city/state, and zip code.

    The UCHRA web site's registration forms (only found in certain areas of our site) require users to give us contact information (like their name, company, and email address). We use the contact information from registration forms to send information about UCHRA and to insure that our programming is used for legitimate purposes. The contact information is also used to contact the visitor when necessary. Visitors may opt-out of receiving future communications (see below).

    Non-Personal Information

    UCHRA may automatically receive and record information on its server logs from your browser, including your IP address and cookies. We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website. Your IP address may be used to gather broad demographic information.

    Business Relationships

    The UCHRA web site contains links to other websites. UCHRA is not responsible for the security practices of the web sites that are linked from our site. We highly recommend that visitors check the privacy statements at these linked sites.

    Information Sharing and Disclosure

    UCHRA uses industry-standard technologies when transferring and receiving consumer data exchanged between UCHRA and other companies to help ensure its security. This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under UCHRA control. However, "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet.

    UCHRA does not rent or sell your personally identifying information to other entities, companies or individuals. We may share such information if we conclude that we are required by law or have a good faith belief that access, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the public.

    A “cookie” is a piece of information that an internet site transfers to an individual’s hard drive for record-keeping purposes. A cookie does not provide personally identifiable information but rather provides information that will make your use of the site more convenient. For example, UCHRA tracks the total number of visitors to our site on an anonymous, aggregate basis.

    UCHRA may create links to other websites. However, many other sites that are not associated with or authorized by the UCHRA may have links leading to he UCHRA site. UCHRA cannot control these links and UCHRA is not responsible for any content appearing on these sites. Since this website does not control the privacy policies of third parties, you are subject to the privacy customs and policies of that third party. UCHRA encourages you to ask questions before you disclose your personal information to others.

    Security Measures

    UCHRA uses a secure content management program to store your personally identifiable information. This secure program helps to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your user data. You are ultimately responsible for the security of your UCHRA username and password. You may not share this information with non-members so they can access content or features that are restricted to UCHRA members only. Please ensure that you log out of your browser at the end of each computer session to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence, especially if you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place.

    Updating Personal Information

    UCHRA members are able to change their personally identifiable information on their own using their username and password and logging into the Member Directory. If you need help regarding this, please send an email to unionchra@gmail.com.

    UCHRA may change, supplement or amend this Notice as it relates to your future use of this web site from time to time, for any reason, by posting a revised Notice on this web site. This notice was last updated on 12/3/2013.
